Limitations of Care

Dr. Miller’s services may not always be right for your child.

Dr. Miller does not conduct custody evaluations.  He does not work with children and families in “high conflict” divorce.  He does not provide services to children or adolescents who have been adjudicated in the judicial system, have been arrested and there is a question of competency or have a court order mandating treatment. He does not provide psychological evaluation services solely for the purposes of determination of SSI eligibility.

Dr. Miller’s office will try to offer you the names of other providers in these circumstances.

Dr. Miller’s office does not provide 24-hour care.  He will respond to parents of existing patients who have a concern if they call at a reasonable time. In case of emergency, take your child to the nearest Pediatric Emergency Department or call 911.

Dr. Miller does not prescribe medication but will work closely with your child’s primary care provider if they request. A HIPAA release by you would be necessary.
